We need YOUR help!
**SPRING 2024 UPDATE**
ln April 2023, we purchased the property shown in the photo below for $1,500,000. The apartment building on the left has already been remodeled and is capable of housing 12 men. The building on the right is still being remodeled and will have accommodations for another 22 men. This housing is for men that have progressed on their entry back into society from the initial housing.

- Can you help us get this building ready?
We would love to host your church or group for a work day to get this project completed even quicker! Are you handy with tools? Do you have a trade skill or experience with construction and/or remodeling? Here is an example of just some of the things we could use some volunteer help with...
Construction / Remodeling
Taping / Texturing
Painting
Plumbing
Electrical
Finish Carpenters
Flooring
Cabinetry Installation
And more...
If you have a group that would be willing to help us,
please prayerfully consider getting involved. - Contact Jason Hiemstra at (605) 929-4031
if you would like to volunteer some time!
There are a variety of ways
YOU can get involved at KB!
Prayer Support
We cherish the prayers of the Christian community!
Prayer is an essential ingredient for all who desire to live a life
dedicated to their faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Please pray for ALL those involved with KPBA!
This includes the board, the staff, volunteers, and of course, the residents.
*On our "Articles" pages (located on the menu bar above), we post a picture of each new resident when they move to Kingdom Boundaries and we ask them for any prayer requests they may have. So, if you would like some specific ideas of how to pray for each of our residents, be sure to check those out!
Also, pray for the men and women inside prison, nervously anticipating release!

Mentoring
“People do not change because they are told to, they change because they are shown a better way.” This phrase makes a lot of sense. KBPA is looking for good Christian men who are available to spend time with men. The men getting out of prison need a positive a role model, a friend, and a brother in Jesus Christ.
There are a couple different ways to learn more about mentoring before getting started. You can start by visiting KBPA on a Monday or Wednesday evening and join us in Bible study. This is an easy way to informally meet some of the guys and see what Kingdom Boundaries is about. You could also stop by KBPA sometime to visit about the possibilities and options available.
Please prayerfully consider becoming a mentor to share “life” with a man that needs direction. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Lastly, we welcome any suggestions or ideas you may have for mentoring.

Volunteering
Volunteering at Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare is an important aspect of the KBPA ministry.
Volunteering helps our residents and allows KBPA to operate more efficiently.
Many times throughout the year KBPA can use extra help to fix and update our three living facilities. “The Carpenter Shop”, “The Master’s House”, and “The Holy Spirit Inn” are in constant need of small repairs and painting. When you volunteer to help with these things you are an important example to the men living at KBPA. Some of our men come to KBPA with a “what I can get” mentality. Your friendly service (servanthood) expecting nothing in return, models a valued character trait that is needed for everyone.
Another thing to consider is that volunteering is a form is mentoring. Our men, at many times, come from family situations that are less than ideal. When volunteers spend quality time with our guys, they can learn and appreciate that strong ideals and friendships are not only worthwhile, but needed.
As stated above, volunteering is important to KBPA, you, and others. The following is a partial list of benefits of helping/volunteering:

- It will make you feel valued as part of a team (KBPA).
- It will allow you to spend quality time away from your work or busy lifestyle.
- It will give you increased confidence and self-esteem.
- It will help you develop skills and knowledge that you already have.
- It could help you improve your employment prospects.
- It will allow you to meet new people that are different than you and allow you to make new friends.
- It will bless you and it will bless others.
